Fall Decoy & Sporting Collectibles - September 7th, 2024
American Sporting Auctions, a decoy and sporting art auction firm, held their second single day sale on September 7th. Featuring over 200 lots that mixed all regions and eras of decoy and sporting art collecting. From contemporary masterpiece sculptures such as Spencer Tinkham's Grand Passenger Pigeon, realizing over $5,000, a new auction record for this highly acclaimed wildlife sculptor, to ornate Marv Meyer duck calls breaking more auction records topping out at $570, and early working Canvasbacks from the St. Clair Flats circa 1900 that brought $4,320.
